To experience transformation in and around us, viewing life through a lens of hope is not only powerful, but I believe is a foundational key.
In 2012, I began to capture the beauty of my city, Bemidji, in the everyday moments and surroundings to help transform my own heart towards this community I have been called to serve. It’s given me new perspectives and an overflowing hope for this area.
In time, it transpired into so much more. I began hearing from friends who started to also view our city, themselves, or their circumstances through the lens of hope as they viewed these photos. I then began giving pictures to both friends and strangers around the community to speak words of encouragement, life, and identity.
This passion has lad me to discover joy, capture beauty, and release hope wherever I go…whether it’s walking the downtown streets of Bemidji, making footprints in the red soil paths of mountains in Uganda, or in the simple, everyday moments of life.
Photography has become a way to grow in love for God and others. It’s become a part of my own healing and transformation. It’s become a way to speak words of life, hope, and identity to those around me through captured moments. It’s my heart’s desire that you will be empowered to do the same as you share these photos with others around you.
